winXP folder options - HELP

I installed WinXP Pro - and a feature of XP pro is that you can have different types of folders - such as a folder for pictures, or a folder for music, and it has a little musical note in the background of the folder. now here is my problem. i have a harddrive that is dedicated to mp3's - and when i installed, winXP made my harddrive a "music folder" if you will, and there is a little music note in the corner (although none of the subfolders - all containing music - are marked like this). i do know that if you right click on a folder and goto customize you can turn this off, but i cant seem to do that with my harddrive. It is really starting to annoy me because i have a lot of music, and it takes a long time to open the folder, and when i scroll in the folder - it takes 100% CPU usage, and it bogs my system. Anyhelp would be grateful.

I just hope this makes sense

thanks much
