WinXP Fastboot --> WOW!

I replaced Win2K Professional with WinXP Professional on my laptop last night, and my lord, it boots up SO much faster... I never timed my old Win2K bootup, but XP seems to give me a useable desktop at least 3 or 4 times faster.

Very impressed with XP so far (though I did revert back to the Windows Classic interface, couldn't stand Luna).
 
yeah it boots much faster than win2k...although i think it's still a little slower than winme...if only they could let you change that damn green start button i'd be happy! 🙂

You can change it.
Right click on the desktop, go to appearance, under windows & buttons change it back to windows classic.

I agree with ChicagoMaroon I also reverted back to the windows classic interface after a few days. The new colors are cool for awhile but then it just starts pissing you off.
I also still prefer windows media player 6.4 over the new one, although its still WAY better than the disaster that was wmp 7.
