WinXP error when installing .. Corrupted Drive C:???!!!

Hey guys, I just downloaded the ISO, and burned it to a CDROM, however I'm trying to do the upgrade from winME (the sooner I lose that crap the better), however when I try and istall it I get up to the point where it reboots, and goes into dos mode to start copying files. I tried this maybe 5 times but each time it gives me a stupid error message that drive c: is corrupted and cannont be repaired. After that it shuts down and I have to go back into winME.

I KNOW that my drive is not corrupted as I ran scandisk about 5 times without problems, and I even did a surface scan last night, without any errors found. The only thing I haven't tried was to defragment my disk which I'm doing now. And yes, I have also tried the full install and it gives me the same error message at the same time as the upgrade (I reallly don't want to have to format as I have a lot of important stuff on there a.k.a about 5 gigs of mp3s 🙂

If anybody has any ideas, or knows how to bypass the disk check or whatever I'd really love to hear it!

Was it a bad .iso?
What did you burn it with?
I think there is a problem with SB Live and some boards, not sure though.
I'd take it out then reinstall it.

ok, thanks. It must be a problem with the ISO ... I used easy cdcreator 4
