Winxp Drive Problem

Make sure that it is plugged into the ide slot firmly, if you are using the master/slave cable be sure to set it as so in the bios.
Not much else that could happen other than a broken drive...
 
well, if you can still operate the drive the same, maybe its just a glitch and you'll have to deal with it. 😉
 
under disk management, is a drive letter assigned to the drive?

right cllick my computer, choose manage, on the list, near the bottom, choose disk management and it should show you on the right :>

hard drives (Id think 2 in your case)
cd/dvd drives (how ever many you have)

right click the drive that is the missing on, then theres an option to change the drive letter
