WinXP default theme won't work anymore?!

I installed XP Home Edition about a week ago, and I left the theme on the XP default, cuz I happen to like it. All of a sudden I restarted one day and all my windows had changed to the Windows Classic. I tried changing the theme back to XP default, but no such luck. One thing I noticed is when I pick a theme and it shows a preview right below, on the XP default all it shows is the background, no window previews like all the rest do. Anyone know what might be causing this? I have Norton Antivirus 2002 w/ latest updates, scanned for viruses--it found none. Tried restoring my system with System Restore to a date before this happened, but no such luck. Anyone know what might be causing this problem and how to fix it? System specs are in the sig. Thanks in advance for any help!!!

I am guessing the default theme file has become corrupted. Look in your C:\Windows\Resources\Themes folder if C:\windows is your main theme folder. I belieave that luna.theme is the default windows theme, so try running it and your other .theme files. If it works then you should get a display proprties window for themes and the theme you just opened will appear. If luna works and it is what you want, just confugere it and save it as the XP default theme or as your favorite theme if not, then you just need to restore that file from yout CD or another XP computer.
