Winxp crashes randomly

I have just recently reinstalled a fresh copy of winxp and when i start up the computer i get this error message:

D:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini012902-01.dmp
D:\DOCUME~1\JOHNYE~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER4.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml

Also, sometimes i get a BSOD when i am doing nothing. One time i was typing in Word and it jsut automatically restarted and i don't have automaticall restart under system failure. This is very annoying. Does anyone have any recommendations?

System Specs:
Athlon XP 1800+
256 MB Cruical RAM
40gig Primary IBM 60GXP
60gig secondary IBM 60 gxp
TNT2 Pro
SCSI
Soyo Dragon Plus
Latest drivers for all compnents.

a friend of mine also had this problem we solved by reloading win xp pro disk then selecting repair installation

Most of the XP problems I have encountered were due to memory. Does the

D:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini012902-01.dmp
D:\DOCUME~1\JOHNYE~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER4.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml

appear at every boot, or only that first time?

almost everytime i restart it appers, like 60% of the time
