WinXP completely crash and reboot when trying to change modem IRQ

I tried it twice so far ... my USR modem is on the only ISA slot on my PC it was detected but not set up properly .. the same thing happned in Win2K .. all I did is I changed the IRQ .. boom it worked
in XP if I change the IRQ .. boom crash... reboot !!
 
I don't have any ISA cards.....haven't for a long time, but, I do know that there was talk of limiting ISA support in XP.....I read something about it in a review somewhere but I can't recall where!;( I don't have a clue if this is your problem or not......did you try just re-ing the driver for it manually? Maybe someone here has an ISA card and XP loded?......I hope for your sake!😉 Good Luck!🙂
