WinXP compatibility(with games)

Right now Im using Win2k and the reason Im going to go over to XP is because I'm sick of my games not working. My question is WinXP Pro vs WinXP home edition. Are both just as compatible with games?

Yes. They both use the same kernel. One just has added networking/security features.
