WinXP - changing drive letter on system volume

Anybody help me here?

When I installed WinXP it somehow lettered my CD drives before my HDD and my System/Boot partition ended up as drive 'F'.

I want to get it back to 'C'
When I try to re-letter it, it says I cant change the letter of a boot / system volume.

Anyway around this?

Erm, how in the hell did you get your cd drives before your boot drives? Are your cd-roms on the primary controller?

Normally yes......but it won't let you if it's a system/boot partition

*Thanks to another AT member who showed me some time ago*

Right click on My Computer.
Select Manage
Disk Management
Right click on drive and select Change Drive Letter and Path
