winxp boot editor

well tonight has not been my night

i ran the boot editor from themexp.org and whenever i try to open it, it gives me the windows hault sound and nothing happens. restarted and still does it.

WTF is going on??

You can do a reinstall of XP and during the install process it will give you the option of repairing the current installation. Choose repair console and then type help. It will show your options, one of which is FIX BOOT (as I recall) that should fix it. Or there is another one that will sort things out, but I can't recall what it is right now.
