WinXP ASR partition size

I recently purchased a new larger drive and wanted to switch the OS over to the new one. I used ASR and created a backup then when I restore, it creates a partition on the new drive the size of the old drive and leaves the rest unallocated. Can I keep it from partitioning the drive somehow and use the whole drive instead?
