WinXP and video capture

I checked in the video forum and couldn't find answers to this, so I'm taking it here to where it seems that people are runnign XP with far more prevalence.

I have a Gainward Cardexpert Geforce 3 Powerpack with VIVO. I want to capture "Band of Brothers" and burn it onto cds... but I cannot get the video capture drivers to install. They install... then reboot, then no options for capture. Low and behold the fine print in the manual mentions that the driver is onyl compatable with windows 98 and ME. WOW. Any 2000 or XP users that have managed to get this to work?

Do I even need the driver from Gainward or can I get an independent proggie for capture?

cheers
