How do u get Nero 5.5 to install on a WinXP based system?

I'll get to the end of the install where I can choose which user who can have access to burning, but there is no groups there.
 
ok I presume that you are installing from the nero cd not from a web d/l
in that case it won't.

just install the latest from the web and then reg with your ser No.

work fine here no probs at all under RC1


 
AHH! Thank you, I am downloading it now. I keep trying to install off my CD and am having the same trouble. If this works, I'm gonna give you a big hug 😀 ok, not really.. but I will be happy to say the least 🙂
 
how about older version of nero? I got one with my TDK veloCD burner and i installed in in XP fine, but it doesn't ask me which users I will allow to use the software. Is it supposed to ? Might be related to the problem i'm having in which XP doesn't have the security tab in my folder and program properties that allows me to set permissions.

And with this nero version, it always says I have to be admin to access the recorders. This is lame as I don't want to make all my accounts admin just so they can burn stuff.

Please help me out.
