I am unable to play dvds correctly on my IBM Aptiva 2139 E5D under Windows XP( build 2509). I have tried various decoders, which include:

-PowerDVD
-WinDVD
-MediamaticsDVD

The playback is fine but the volume needs to be turned to the maximum level (Mosoon 700 speakers) and ultimately the volume cuts off after about 20 secs. My sytem configuration is as follows:

PII 400
256 MB
ATI Rage Pro AGP 2X
Hitachi GD2000 DVD

I recall reading somewhere that someone else with an ATI card coupled with XP was having similar problems. Any solution to this problems would be appreciated.
