WinXP and Dual Modems

I know this may be far fetched, as most of us have broadband, but one of my buddies does not have that capability. He is destined to use dial-up for a connection. My question is do any of you know how to configure dual modems in XP like we used to do before the advent of broadband? I used to use it in Win 98, and cannot remember how I did it in 98, or how to configure it in XP.
Any replies would be appreciated.
