For some programs run under winxp, they reset the currect desktop color settings. And this can only be fixed once i restart.
I use the newest detonator drivers on the nvdia site. I also have the a7a266 motherboard. I have no idea how to fix this.
Could anyone point me to a fix? or to a similar thread if their is one? It's kind of annoying.

HEY!

I don't know if this is exactly the same or not, cause I don't know what you mean exactly by "reset", but I have posted like three times and got no response on a problem that sounds like this.

When my GF playes SIMS, the color palette gets all messed up upon exit in XP.

I thought the only way to fix it for me was to reboot, but then I found that if I entered the color tab in advanced display settings, it magically snapped back to the proper settings. Don't have to change anything, just hit OK. If I exit the tab without hitting OK, it snaps back to the messed up settings though.

Let me know if you have the same thing.

I'm on a Radeon, so if you have the same thing that will elminate vid drivers....

yes that's what happens. BUt i must restart in order to play another game with the color settings i want.
i open quake. Close it and the colors are set back to default. I change it to what i want play another game and it's reset again. IN order to get it so it won't reset in other games other than quake 3 or games based of q3 engine i must restart.
