winXP and cdrom refresh problems

i am sure that this has been asked before,
but how do you get winxp to refresh the file list when you change cd discs. my system will not refresh at all. i have tried using f5, and restarting with no luck.

i have read about a fix or tweak for this but i cannot seem to find it.

please help me !!!
 
I had this problem in 95/98 and now XP. a nice guy on IRC informed me a work around for this. Go into windows explorer, right click on the drive letter and click eject, for some reason this seems to work for me. I tell you this, that not refreshing thing is ANNOYING! Also my ghetto method, which seems to work about 85% of the time, I open a dos box, open the cd drive, close it, and hit G: before it has a chance to spin up, it'll sit there and when it's finally done, boom I can see the content of the cd.
