WinX64 slowdown playing Divx and other video

I have the following:

DFI Lanparty Ultra-D
A64-3000 (939)
2 gigs ram
2x200gig Seagates in Raid0
WinXP64
Avast! antirvirus
Newest version of Divx (6.something)

When I try watching videos I find that my audio goes faster than the video, so by the time I get to the end of the video it's completely out of sync, if it's longer than maybe a 10 minute clip. Any clue what's going on?
