Hello I have a question......

I juste saw today that when I login windows 2000pro, I have a process called winword.exe that is started and running. (I have office XP) Does anybody knows who starts that process is it office is it windows... I don't have any Idea

it is the microsoft word executable... does it run even after you reboot? it could be a crashed process that didn't get killed properly.

if it is back on reboot, maybe you have some word macro virus? I dont think a virus would use winword though, but rather general vbs stuff. anyway, scan your computer to be sure.

Do you use outlook? If so, usually by default, WORD is your e-mail editor, and therefore runs all the time (even AFTER you shut down outlook sometimes!)

of course I know that it is word. And no it is not set up to load on my startup ....... It only load on my profile, if I go on another user of my windows it doesn't appear. And if I start word normally and close word, the process is killed. I have never seen that ... time to bring back my image....
