WinVista Edition/License Options

Hiya.

Does anyone know if there is any difference between the Home Premium Upgrade and Home Premium Academic Upgrade versions (apart from the price)? My preference would be to not pay the NZ$120 difference if possible.

Cheers

I do qualify for an academic license. I'm just after confirmation of any difference in the software.

For instance, a local online retailer states that "academic versions are usually not upgradeable and are intended for educational use" and I'm not 100% sure what that means when applied to Vista.

That's idiotic; they're certainly upgradable.

The only real differences are in the license, and there are 2:
1) You must be qualify for the license (at least when you get it, IIRC there's no termination clause)
2) It can't be used for commercial purposes.

Excellent - cheers for that guys. It does sound that having an academic license will not end up with features disabled (and that's important!)
