For anyone who has this card Hauppauge WinTV-GO TV Tuner/ Video Capture Card How is the pvr setup working out so far? Any particular software that works great with it?

How is the quality of this tv tuner card? Looking to set up a pvr for xp with the card but still dont have my rig yet. Can anyone post any pics of how the card outputs, quality wise.

Thanks

i have one of those cards, but im not using it for pvr. i'm assuming it'd work its on the brooktree 879 chipset , and well that is as generic as they come.

the sound on this is mono though, and hte quality is ok though. so i am not sure if you'd really want this as your pvr card., but its pretty cheap.

The Bt87x chips are getting old. Get something with a Philips 7133, 34 or even better 35 on - for better video sampling quality and proper stereo audio processing. Furthermore, the latest cards with "silicon" tuners rather than discrete "tin can" on the card are substantially better in tuning quality as well.

LifeView Platinum series cards are great. $35 at Newegg for the PCI version.
