WinTV card application locks machine...grr

I have an older WinTV card produced by Haugpahuge (sp) in my machine. I have just installed the WinTV application (both WinTV2000 and WinTV32). Whenever I try to start either of the programs up, it locks my machine up immediatly.
I have a GeForce2 GTS 64 meg card on an Abit BH6 mobo w/ P3 500 running Win98. The TV card is NOT sharing any IRQ's w/ anything (except PCI steering) and is on IRQ 11...which I think I've read they like better.
Any ideas how to fix this?
