WinTV and Herc GTXP (Audio Problems)

Alright...I'm at the stage where I'm about to pull my hair out over this. I'm trying to get a Hauppauge WinTV Theatre PCI card to work with a Herc GTXP sound card. This is under Win2K.

I already got the card to work with my other comp using the onboard AC97 audio. I've got a ATI TV Wonder to work with the Herc GTXP. Both setups ran Win2K.

Here's what happens. The instant I open the WinTV program, I can hear audio faintly, then it seems to vanish after 2 or 3 seconds. However, I turned the speakers all the way up (they're powered), and I can faintly hear the audio. I'm not thinking its a hardware problem. I've turned on and up all the software volume controls provided by Win2K and the GTXP software. Any ideas?

Thanks...
