I was hoping I'd go the entire winter without shovelling the driveway...

That's it? NOAA is saying 4-7" for our area, and we are further north than you.

I think altogether we might get 6". I am usually a bit conservative with my snowfall predictions just based on what they say we will get and what we actually get.

Weatherman: "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!!11"
then... 1 inch. :p

I heard the closer you are to Ohio, the more you will get... hmmm hope it's a good one!

A winter storm developing over Oklahoma this morning will intensify and move towards the lower Great Lakes. This storm has a potential for significant snowfall.

Present indications are that snow associated with the storm will begin early Tuesday morning and continue through Tuesday night with total snowfall amounts in the 20 to 30 centimetres range. Strong easterly wind and cold temperatures may cause blizzard like conditions with cold wind chill values and blowing snow.
Well, we haven't had anything major like this yet this winter. I wonder if we will actually get a lot, or if it is all weather drama.

Who the hell forecasts snowfall in centimeters?
This is America dammit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watching the weather here the last couple of days has been interesting (Toledo). They were forecasting around 8-10 inches at noon yesterday, then 12+ at dinner time last night. At 10, the Fox affiliate was saying something around 8 inches, this morning they're saying around 10 here now.

I just walked across the street to another building and the weather blows (literally). The snow is flying and drifting and the wind is cold. Area schools are mostly closed (my University is still open, but in 25 years I've lived here, I can only remember it closing twice and one of those times was in the middle of the day). One county west where my folks live, they've got a Blizzard warning.

Hopefully the border crossing will slow it down... wait, it's coming into Canada. No slowdown then...

Dangit...just PMed you just as you posted. Heh. I'll be fine tonight, besides when I get out at 3am the roads wont have any other drivers on them.

But we'll either be real busy from people being retarded in snowy weather or really quiet because people wont go out in this weather. I'm hoping for the quiet.

Well, they're sending us home early and we don't have to come in until noon tomorrow. We went out for lunch and the roads were pretty sketchy. Snow is blowing and drifting pretty badly and since the wind is out of the NE, we're getting both the N-S and E-W roads drifting shut. Visibility is pretty poor, I'd estimate around 1/4-1/2 mile.
