Winter Storm in the Midwest

We just had the warmest day of the week here in Oklahoma City. The high was probably in the upper sixties, and now they're telling us to GTFO of town if at all possible.

It's weird... I'm in upstate NY where I thought we'd get a fair amount of snow, but really hardly anything this winter. I read about places down south, even Arizona, getting a lot of snow, in addition to the NE storm a little over a month ago that hammered a lot of places but hardly hit where I'm at.

And it's not even that cold. It was cold earlier this month but not horrible. But coming from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I guess things need to be pretty bad before I consider them worse than mild!

It's in the negatives again during the night here, WI, and low single digits to teens during the day the past 2-3 days and it snowed a few inches 3 days ago or so but no more then that.

I was in opposite corner up by on Grand Lake on Monkey Island. In 2007 got hit with two Ice storms, first one didn't have power or water for 8 days and we were trapped because the ice dropped all the trees across the only bridge to and from the Island.

I'm one of those crazy people who actually likes going outside in the winter. All I can do right now is snowshoe, the snow has an ice crust that makes skiing impossible. Another 12+" would be awesome, no work or class for a day and skiing in the streets!

Don't worry northeasterners. I bought some heavy duty winter boots after the first snow in Dec so no worries about snow again this year.
