So I wonder if this will last...
I have powerline networking to my backyard gazebo which is connected to a cheap consumer wireless 802.11g router (configured as a simple access point). It's on the ceiling of the gazebo which otherwise is fully open. So basically it is mostly protected from the rain, but not from the temperature or possibly blowing snow. Normally I bring the hardware in for the winter but this year was it was especially covered in spider webs and dead bugs so I just left it there.
Well, it's been below 0C for the last couple of weeks and as low as -12C a few days ago. To my pleasant surprise it still works fine and hasn't needed a reboot either since the summer. Impressive. I wonder if it will make it thru the winter unscathed.
