Winter Date Ideas?

Ok so I have a date on Friday, but I've been trying to figure out what we could go and do. Its really cold here right now, but there isnt very much snow, and most of the winter date ideas I've seen online involve stuff like snowball fights, building a snowman etc which we cant really do.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm majoring in Culinary Arts, so I'm going to make us dinner, but I'm trying to figure out what we could do afterwards.

P.S. This is a first date with this girl, so no comments like storming the castle or anything.

And no :camera:, because I dont have any

Storm a castle...chicks dig knights in shining armor...make it a big castle though...and bring lots of siege equipment...very important...

Take a walk downtown (if you have one, dont know where you live) and see the Xmas decorations and window shop.

I'm going on two dates when I get back from University for Christmas break

date 1)

Girl is taking me to dinner. Then I'm taking her to the local botanical gardens which is decorated all up in Christmas lights and they give out free hot chocolate and the such. One of the set of lights is actually dancing to the music.

It's awesome.

date 2)

Taking this girl to a restaurant called cafe du paris, then to the christmas train, same kinda idea as the botanical garden except in our zoo they have a train that takes you for a tour and all the money donated goes to the firefighters burn fund.

See if they do something like that in your town/city
 
any christmasy type stuff to do? any areas that really go all out w the decorations? I'm thinking like Rockafeller Center type stuff but on the scale of wherever the hell you live.
