My websurfing days seem to be virtually over - even though I finally got a cable connection (they had a special deal going) pages are taking forever to load, that's if they load at all. I keep having dialogue boxes poping up saying something like 'winsock resource limit, try again' or something like that. I've been using IE5.01 & ALSO Opera4 (which is great - I've got it so when I click Opera 4 it opens with the 6 websites I check everyday, as you can a multiply webpage windows, without needing multiple browsers open). But I don't think thats the problem as I've been using both together for 6 months or more. Plus after checking those 6 sites I useally turn Opera 4 off & then just use IE5 for browsing (as I yet to load all the plugins into Opera to make it compatible with acrobat, real player, shockwave flash etc).
Well anyway the 'winsock resource limit' or whatever dialogue box kept stuffing up IE5.01, so I upgraded to IE5.5 & its still kept happening. So then I actually started useing Opera 4 for browsing too & that started having the same problem too.
Has anyone got any Ideas?
Oh, about a week ago I went through the whole format c:/install windows routine - windows decided to de-install all my hardware & wouldn't let me reload the drivers back on - I wonder if all the planets are lined up or something.
