I have a doubt, everyone knows that Windows XP have built in zip compatibility, but I need also rar compatibility, since XP I don?t use WinZip, I would like to accomplish the same with rar files, I have nothing against any of those programs, but I prefer to use Windows Explorer than a different program, does anyone knows about a plug-in or something that could help me to manage the rar files in the same way that Zip files?

Doesn't winrar install shell extensions? You can pretty much use it the exact same way as the built in zip component without ever opening winrar

Another vote for IZARC.

Easy as pie, minimal resource use, no spy or ads.
Excellent overall.

ok, I guess that there is no way to make Windows Explorer to open a rar file, I will need to use a third party software to open it, I was hopping to not open another program to do that, just the old explorer, just like in zip.

Thank you all.
