WinProxy, and configuring two computers to connect.

Okay, my friend and I are currently at home, and trying to figure out how to network my computer, and my dad's together, so that it will share an internet connection. I have two network cards in my computer, with a CAT5 cable going from the cable modem to one, and another network cable going from my nic to my dad's nic. We have everything set up in winproxy, except for the internal IP. It keeps on saying that the internal IP isn't working, yet we assigned an IP (I think it was like 90.0.0.1) for the secondary NIC (which is what the program told us to do).

Any ideas on how to get this to work?
BTW both computers have Win98 (first edition I believe), and all of the nics are fully functional (I've tested it on a lan... etc.).

Also, currently, the "external" IP is set as my @home IP address, (the one I have on my computer normally).

Update: I think it isn't recognizing the internal network ADAPTER, so I'm gonna try a different NIC, and see if that will work.
