WinNT/XP: Login problems, Domain Controller issues?

Running a WinNT server, with various PCs as XP and Win2k. Two of the PCs are not able to join the domain saying the user/pw is incorrect (i'm positive that the u/p i'm using are right). The only way i've been able to log onto the PCs is to unplug the ethernet, then put the u/p to log on.

Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Domain controller NT4, 2000, 2003 or 2003 R2?

Are the PC's giving you a problem all one type OS?
Are they in the same general location (ie both NT4 machines in Building 6)?
Your sure they are doing a domain logon and not local logon (Logon To:[domain] instead of Logon To:[computername])

Yes.
