WinNT and Palm Vx connection problem.

Basically, the someone here at work has a Palm vx and winNT on thier computer and had been using Hotsync with no probs until recently she trys to sync only to get a message that her palm was unable to connect to the desktop. I reinstlled the software. NO GO. I deleted and readded Com1 and now get a com1 is unavailble so sync take place. Whats going on
 
Do you have COM 2?


Have you gone into BIOS and chage the IRQ settings for COM1 and then tried to reinstall COM1? Something mess with settings for the COM1.


There is chance that the motherboard is going down the tubes. But then again, its Windows NT, plug and pray
