For the life of me I can't get this to work right, any help would be appreciated....
The problem is that the network card is being identified correctly in WinMe's device manager, but the internet/network doesn't work on that pc and that pc only.
I've tried different cables, tried bypassing the hub and going directly from the router and modem, tried uninstalling the driver and rebooting (letting it re-install), I've even physically removed the card and tried it in a different machine (worked fine).
I've noticed that in Winipcfg, accessed from Run..., under Ethernet Adapter Information, the only option is PPP Adapter. I know that the card should be showing up there if it were working correctly, and giving the ip info.
Does anyone know why the card will install/identify without a problem but not show up in Winipcfg. Is there a setting in "Network Places" that I've managed to overlook.
Any help or suggestions are appreaciated.
