There was a recent thread here that discussed the issue of more than 512MB of Ram when using Win98/ME.

I just wanted to say that I have installed the additional 256MB in my ASUS P3v4x and no problems YET! Now I haven't altered the 'vcache' settings in the System.ini file, so I don't know what might happen. Everything is running well with no lockups as yet. Now I don't really know if Windows is using the additional Ram to cause me a problem, but only time will tell.

As for the guyz who are/were experiencing problems I hope you gottem fixed now. ;)

Yes but if you put in 1GB RAM I bet you would get a problem and without amending the Vcache settings it would cause the OS to hang upon boot-up with a nice BSOD.
