I'm building up a new machine for the kids (9 and 11) and deciding what OS to inflict on them. It has to be some flavor of Windoze to run their various games, eduware, etc. Aside from lack of driver issues with Win2K, are there any major pluses or minuses either way? Machine resources are not a problem.

i guess it will depend on whether or not their software will run on w2k. I run WinMe on my kid's machine just to be safe and besides, it makes me appreciate w2k that much more : ). Alternately, when my kids fiddle with my computer from time to time they never even notice that the OS is any different so i wouldn't think that ease of use would be a concern either way.
