My WinME system (see signature links for specifications) has a severe registry problem. I turned the computer on today and immediately Windows reported a registry problem and wanted to enter Safe Mode. After scan disk and other diagnostic measures, safe mode won't even work correctly, and of course booting into normal mode yields nothing.
I figured I could just use the system restore feature that has worked so well for me in the past and take the system back to a previous point. Problem is, how do I run System Restore if I can't enter safe mode?
Any help would be appriciated. I know I could just reformat, which i try to do on a monthly basis anyway, but I need to transfer several hundred MB of files off of the hd using the networking which I can't accomplish using DOS...
