WinME restrictions?

When i try to run Winzip to install it, it gives me an error and then says their are restrictions and i should contact a system operator. When going through the setup, i dont recall seeing an option to restrict any features. This is WinMe 3000.2

Sounds very strange to me, what version of winzip are you using?

( btw, win me has its own unzipping program)

That happened to me a couple of times when I was beta testing Milly. I shut down and restarted and it installed fine. On 3000 Winzip 8.0 installed fine with no problems.

The 'Compressed Folders' add-in could eliminate the need for most of the basic features offered by WinAmp. Is it worht a shot?

I will second Budman on Powerarchiver. It is such a ripoff of WinZip plus more that its funny. The only disadvantage I've found thus far with Powerarchiver is that it seems a little slower sometimes. It has so many more features though.
