WinMe restart problem

WinMe is working fine except when I try to use restart under the the shutdown function. The screen turns black with a blinking white cursor then I eventually get a blue screen error message.

If I reset WinMe reloads fine.

Any ideas?

Was Windows ME always doing this, or did something change in your system prior to the problem starting? Also, could you post your system config? It might help in solving the problem.
