Hi, I always had that problem with windows 98 when shutting down the computer (would never turn off properly until I hold the power key); I fixed this by disabling fast shut down (IN windows 98, you just go to accessories->system tools->system information->tools->system configuration utility -> advanced). But I can't seem to find this option in WINME even though I have the same problem. Someone please help!

No, scandisk does not start after reboot. I read about that problem, but this doesn't affect me. I just want to know how to do the "disable fast shutdown" that win98 had.
