WinME and Windows Explorer

Fabio

Senior member
When ever I look at files in Windows Explorer some of them come up with their file extension (like .exe or .dll) and some don't (like .r00 .r01 .mp3 .doc). I have selected DETAILS but still nothing. I went through the options under TOOLS and I can't find anything to fix it. What do I need to do to fix this?

Thanks,

Fabio

There should be an option in Folder Options (located in Control Panel), under the tab "view." It should say "hide extensions for known file types." You have it checked. Uncheck it.
