Winkey (remap) question

I don't want to totally disable my windows key, I just don't want it to bring up the start menu, I would also like to be able to remap built in windows hotkeys such as win-f1.

Problem: I play Final Fantasy XI, it can only be run in full screen mode. If you hit the windows key at any time during the game it will boot you from the game server and bring you back to windows. This is bad because CTRL and ALT are keys I use ALL the time in game, and having a key nestled between them that can instantly disconnect you from the game is dangerous.

I am using Macro Express, and since I now have more spells then I can handle with my alt-fkey, ctrl-fkey, ctrl-alt-fkeys I would like to do some win-fkey combos. Macro express will let me do this, even win-f1 the problem is it doesn't deactivate whatever win-hotkeys are hardcoded into windows. So win-f1 will still bring up the help screen, etc. I would like to keep the windows key on the keymap, what I don't want it the windows key to remain attached to bringing up the startmenu, etc. Can this be done?

If not is there a way to remap the windows key to do a ctrl-shift? I can remap it to do ctrl or shift, but have not found a way to have it do both.

Anyone? I was directed by someone else to a little piece of software "I HATE THIS KEY!". It works good, but windows still has win-f1 hardcoded to bring up the "help and support center" dialog, I need a way to tell windows not to bring that up, I will need win-f1 - win-f12 for macros, even if I try not to use win-f1 at some point in the game I will accidentally hit win-f1 while doing a win-f2 and doing so will boot me from the game. Where do the hotkey functions such as win-f1 reside in the registry?

eh, u got an app, named winkey (google it maybe) that handles this, there's also an app, that disables the winkey (even customisable that it's only disabled during certain apps/games/movies) but I dont know the exact name of that one...
