Wing commander prophecy-radeon

Decided I wanted to play one of my old games Wing commander prophecy I had no problems with my old voodo card but now I have a ati Radeon card, box lists it as radeon AGP ENG/NA VIVO 64MB DDR ram.
I have a lot of jumping with the video the old voodo card ran it smooth but I cant seem to get the video smoothed out on the new radeon card.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
I have adjusted all of my video settings that I can think of in dxdiag and in the game and also in the display properties.
