Does any in this forum have this card? Is it worth getting or should I save up for an AIW?

From what I hear this is a very very good card. I researched extensively and actually purchased it twice but both times my CC got declined because of my college shipping address was different :(.

As compared to an AIW, I don't know, but it won the reviews I read of it.

I own the XP 2000 tv card and it is excellent! I heard that the AIW's aren't the greatest for tv tuners. So far I haven't had a problem with mine. Works beautifully!

I should be getting the card by the end of the week. There is another forum member here also getting it later this week. From some of the reviews I've come across it seems good, but no one has compared against the AIW.

Should hopefully be getting mine in a couple days, if not tomorrow :p Gotta love that 10-15 min drive from my house to Newegg's warehouse.

10-15 min driver to newegg warehouse !! You lucky sh!t.

BTW, the AIW series are wonderfull. I have never owned a Leadtek, but so far my new Pinnacle card really bites. The tech support guy from the company says the drivers on the CD that shipped with it won't work (after 2 days of trying to get it to work in three different computers, with 3 OS'es, and two different cards) and they will ship me a CD as soon as they can (no on-line drivers) Since I love the Pinnacle software, and it won't read my AIW (old version) I am going to stick it out for now. My brothers 7500 AIW is great, and I hear the 8500 is even better (the 9700 pro version is killer, but at $500 it better be)

I have been using the card for a couple of weeks now. Overall, its a great card. I had absolutely no problems with the installation and the drivers have been more or less solid. The software that comes with it works great; the scheduling system is particularly useful. However, the card isn't perfect. The tv quality isn't amazing, I prefer to be at least 5 feet away from my monitor for optimal viewing conditions. This can be overlooked though, especially considering the reception on most tv's is comparable. The only other issue I have is with the radio tuner. For whatever reason, I need to turn my speakers up extremely high in order to be able to hear anything on the radio. Unfortunately, the speakes have to be up so high using the radio isn't practical. A simple IM sound practically blows out the speakers when they are loud enough to hear the radio. Hopefully I'll be able to find a fix for this. Despite the problems I've mentioned, I'd still reccomend it.

I'm planning on using it to record TV shows off of a satellite dish. Has anyone tried using the s-video jack on it? Does it offer improved video quality?
