Winfast TV2000 XP Driver & LAN Conflict

Before someone shoots me, no, I am not complainning about leadtek winfast, that is a good tv card! 😀

My computer is:
XP2100+
512 crucial pc2100
Epox 8RDA+
Sapphire 8500LE
XP professional

I dumped the new card in, installed the new driver from leadtek website. Everything looks great ... before I reboot.

After I reboot, I couldn't get online anymore. 🙁 I am using cable modem, every hardware works OK. I called ISP and they ran some test for me. The expert explained to me that somehow my software disabled my DHCP to renew my IP address from ISP. It is like a blackbox, he sent me hundreds of packets and I can see that on LAN window, but can't send out any.

System restore solved the problem. Every time I install driver for the winfast card, I can't get online on next reboot. Does anyone got same experience? or do you know an alternative driver for winfast card? I want to watch tv when I bash mobs in DAOC...

Obvious question: You DO have the most updated drivers from the Leadtek FTP site, righttttt?

Umm....I can't think of much else. I don't have any problems, and never did. (Same Card) Maybe try switching the slots the card is in as well as your NIC?

I dunno, I got nothing. But a *bump* for your cause 😀

Ye, I got new one from leadtek, even flashed my bios and updated nforce driver. There are couple threads on google that directx 9.0 may cause the problem, so I manually uninstalled it with dx8.0. I switched pci slot too. No conflict, every hardware works fine.

Nothing works. 🙁

No reassign irq option for onboard lan, tried another nic in pci slot and won't work either.

Reinstall OS on a 80gb hd is a painful thing, but seems time to go for it. Thanks guys!

This is probably worthless but try this:
Install Leadtek drivers
reboot
Go to Device manager and disable drivers, check inet connection
reboot
try internet, should work, if not uninstal leadtek drivers.

Then try this
Install Leadtek drivers
reboot
Re-instal onboard nic driver
reboot
check inet.

Also make sure you are using your latest nic drivers.
