Winfast TV 2000 Crashes WINXP Pro

I purchased one of the Winfast PVR/FM cards from Newegg.com and installed it today. The FM TUNER and TV Tuner work very well, but my system completely freezes after about 30 seconds of video capture. I have tried all the different formats such as MPEG1 MPEG2 VCD DVD. I have also reinstalled and uninstalled the drivers. Although my computer is not a speed demon, it does meet the requirements. I have a 1.1ghz tbird, 256mb pc133, 32mb geforce2 mx, 7200 RPM ATA 100 HDD, and etc. . . Any ideas on what to do to rememdy this situation.
 
I don't know if this will help you, but looking at another thread, some users were having similar problems. All of them were using Norton Antivirus 2003 and disabling scanning of instant messaging fixed their problem.

I just ordered one yesterday, should be here tomorrow or Friday. Will see if I have any issues (although only using NAV 2002).
 
Funny that we replied at the same time a day after your original post! 🙂

Remember that NAV probably doesn't have to be completely disabled - just scanning of instant messaging.

Of course, YMMV... 😉
