Winfast PVR- no surround sound?

In Winamp, you enable DirectSound and Hardware Acceleration to get 5.1 sound. But in Winfast PVR there seems to be no such setting. How do I get the rear speakers working with my Leadtek 2000 XP Deluxe?

can't you just go to the advanced speaker settings from the "sounds" in the control panel, and switch it there to use 5.1, instead of having to change each specific program?

Everything is set up for 5.1.

Control Panel/ Speaker settings, Nvidia Soundstorm Control Panel, and the switch on the back of the subwoofer.

I can play anything from my pc and it will be 5.1. Songs thru winamp, movies thru media player, video games, etc. But sound coming from the tv tuner will only play out of the front speakers. In winamp you had to set it to DirectSound so winamp would recognize the 5.1 setup. I was hoping there was some such setting in PVR for it but they seem to concentrate on the video aspects and barely have any audio settings at all.
