I bought a GF2 Ultra from Leadtek 2 months ago. I installed the card and the detonator 21.83 drivers (at the time newest) and was able to use it for about 30 minutes before the thing just went nuts and left a screen full of different colored lines. I sent it back to them and now have a new one. They gave no explanation of what happened to the old card. I plug the new one in, install the detonator 23.11 drivers, and play Q3 for about 30 minutes when the same thing happened again. When I reboot, I get the same thing, all the way from bios screen to loging screen on WIN2K. Nothing is ledgible, just those wonderful colored lines taking up the whole screen. If I leave the computer off for a long time, like 6-8 hours, I can turn the computer back on and see the boot up screens, bios screen, win2k loading screen and sometimes all the way to log in. But in the end it happens again. I haven't heard from leadtek about this yet, but as you can imagine i'm pissed. My system is dual celeron 400s@500 with 384 meg of PC133 ram in an Abit BP-6 mobo, IBM 20 Gig 7200 rpm, Soundblaster 16, 3com NIC, with 300 watt power supply and Optiquest Q91 19" monitor. Has anyone heard of this happening to anyone else, I can't be unique in my problem? I know people who are using the BP6 mobo with GF3s so I can't imagine that is a problem.:disgust:
