WinDVD + region settings **HELP**

Roddy

Ok, I've got both Region 1 and Region 4 DVD's.

Whenever I load up a Region 4 DVD, it says that I have to change the region from Region 1 to Region 4 to enable viewing of the DVD.
It has a limit of like 4 times that you can change the regions until it is set.

My question is: Is there a preference somewhere in WinDVD to allow it to play both Region 1 & Region 4 DVD's without it being swapped over all the time until it is finally set to one of the regions ?

Also, will the setting affect my DVD rom hardware settings ?
eg. If i was to format and install windows again, could I still change the Regions ?

Thanks

No, by default winDVD can only play DVDs from 1 region only... but there are cracks that u can apply to make winDVD region free (play DVDs from any region)... do a search on the web...

The setting is not associated with your DVD drive... once u format u should be able to select ur region again...
