Windsor or Phenom

If you are considering an Athlon 64 X2 go with a Brisbane model. They use less power and generate less heat.

The "Black" editions have unlocked multipliers. Pretty much all Brisbanes will hit 3.2 GHz. If you don't want to fiddle with overclocking I would pick this one.

I'm going to assume this is for gaming, since you have an overclocked 6800GT. Assuming the video card you use is fast enough, a 3 Ghz Windsor is going to give you close to twice the framerate as a 2.1 Ghz Phenom. I'd only go with a Brisbane if you plan on overclocking; most of them will do ~ 3.0 Ghz.

Sorry, forgot my stats are out of date, see below. A little overclocking would be nice, but at 3 ghz why bother?
