Guy from DiamondAutoGlass replaced my windshield today...it took him about 3 hours to finish the job. He said that my previous windshield was put on incorrectly (I've never had it replaced before, I drive a 99 Altima) and he had to go back to his office to get a proper tool

Seeing how it took him around 2 hours more than usual, should I have tipped him? Or will he get reimbursed by his employer?

if there were a poll, I'd have voted "no tip". But seeing as there is not a poll, then I say nothing.

I remember some time ago they had some news report on TV claiming that lots of autoglass workers install auto glass wrong. Scary though.

Man, some of you guys are just dying for someone to tip. Anyone. For any reason.

Hell no. Tipping is overdone. If people wanted more money, they would get into a higher paying profession.

Also note that the "improper installation" of your initial windshield may mean that he's just never worked on this specific car before, and he didn't actually know what he was doing, so he blamed it on nissan. Just a possibility.
